1. Minddofluid: Three Samples of Humans Endings (unfinished)  (2021.01-2021.03)
[Experimental film] [Independent work]

A sample scene of the work, sounds to be added

Combined with actual shooting, and mini scenery modelling.

Constructing a worldview in which language and mind were replaced and materialized by ferrofluid, as the main expression and comprehension paradigm of humans.

Showing the three possible endings of individuals as of their own choices.
2. Discovering Easel Paintings  (2016-2018)
[Photography & performance art] [Independent work]
The photos of historic buildings or villages were adjusted as easel paintings, and shown to the public with fake information in the exhibition.
During several experiences of curation, I noticed that the public’s views toward artworks seem to be influenced deeply by the creation forms, times and the authors’ identities.
Compared with theoretical analysis with historical or cultural significance, some of these are more likely because of simple senses of identity regarding individuals’ worldviews.

For instance, an oil painting is better than a photograph because it’s more traditional, and a European modern artist is better than a Chinese modern one because Europe is a more developed region, even though the contents and meanings of artworks may be similar.

In this work, I wish to explore people’s responses when informed of the true information and the whole story, and try to bring some reflection to the public on how viewers’ prejudgment in practical backgrounds influences the meaning and evaluation of artworks in his or her mind.
